Internet Speed Test

Physpyde is the internet speed test and beyond!!!

Internet speed test:
Having slow Internet can really inhibit the speed of your business as well as your efficiency with processes at home. Whether you are using Comcast Internet, AT&T Internet, your mobile plan with Verizon or another company, regular Internet speed tests can ensure that you are getting your money’s worth.
The good news is that an Internet speed test is extremely easy to initiate. In order to get started you just have to open up Internet Explorer or your Internet browser of choice and enter in Phypyde.com or another speed test website to initiate the test.
A typical Internet speed test involves the user first being tested for latency:
This starts by sending a quick message out to a local server asking for a reply directly to the user’s client. The client will then receive a message when the server is able to reply back. The total round-trip time for the message sent and received is measured in milliseconds and the test is often completed several times to average it out the results.
Download speed is the next step:
During this part of an Internet speed test a client will establish multiple connections with the same server to ask for a request for a small chunk of data. The speed test will measure the total speed that you could download that data from the server for a period of 20 to 30 seconds. The average speed of download is then averaged across this time.
Measuring upload speed is the next part of the test:
This is where the client will establish several connections with a server and send a small chunk of data which will be received by the server and calculated under an upload speed for 20 to 30 seconds and then averaged at the end of the test.
The results:
The results received in your browser should be an indication of the MBPS upload and download speeds that you should be receiving from your Internet provider based on your plan. Generally these are listed on your bill. While all provider may not be able to meet demands at all times, if you have a 60 MB per second plan for example and you are only getting 20 MB per second in a speed test, it could be time to consider an alternative or adjusting your network settings!
Remember to regularly complete Internet speed tests to ensure you are getting your money’s worth.
